Great Yarmouth shore event in memory of two local anglers to go ahead.
Two matches in memory of anglers Mark Alsop and Harrison Smith are to be held in Great Yarmouth next month.
Taking place on Sunday October 16 at Great Yarmouth’s central and north beaches, fishing is 10am until 3pm with entry to the event costing £10 with £2 of this going to MacMillan Cancer Care in Mark’s name.
The Harrison Smith Trophy, in memory of junior angler Harrison Smith who passed away earlier this year, will be presented for best angler aged 16-years-old or under during the competition. Prizes and medals for the top three junior anglers will also be awarded.
The 120 ticket event includes biggest round fish pool and biggest flatfish pool, with cash payouts every 10peg section.
Draw for pegs will be at the Lacon Arm, Great Yarmouth at 8.30am.
Double pegs for junior wishing to fish with an adult are available, but must be booked in advance.
