CLA Game Fair To Attract New Anglers - 13/05/2010
This year’s CLA Game Fair is being held at Ragley Hall in Alcester, Warwickshire, and is set to carry out one of the biggest angling-recruitment drives the country has ever seen.
During the three-day event – from Friday, July 23rd, to Sunday, July 25th – a host of angling coaches will be on hand to introduce new people to the sport. The TSF team will be there – including editor Barney, his deputy Roger and Mike Thrussell – demonstrating how to tie knots and rigs, showing how to use various components as well as how to best present bait. The team looks forward to meeting you and answering any questions you might have, as well as giving advice on rods, reels, lines and terminal tackle. There will be casting demos with the UK Surfcasting Federation and a casting competition.
According to organiser Fiona Eastman, this year’s fair is set to be a huge hit with anglers, with a much-improved angling village that includes tackle clinics, casting lessons, tuition – sea, game, coarse and carp – and a host of angling celebrities.
