Sad Loss To Angling - 08/07/2010

Colchester tackle dealer Rob Smith passed away suddenly recently while fighting a huge skate on a fishing trip in Scotland.

Just 44 years of age, Rob was very passionate about his sport and was always ready to offer any advice he could to help his fellow anglers. He built his business into an angler’s paradise with a huge stock for such a small shop, and if you couldn’t find what you wanted he would get it in for you. Rob lived for all forms of fishing and was very conservation minded. Rob will be missed by everyone who knew him. He leaves a wife and two children.
